Please forward to family and friends.
I decided to post this here, I know my friends will see this. I called yesterday morning and did mine. I don't wish for telamarketers to be calling my cell phone, especially during work hours. That's just not proper of them.
I was awake way too early this morning. I can't say why, I'm not sure why my body said, "No more sleep for you!" But it did, so here I am.
And now for some amusement...
The things I get amused by.
NASA and the Indian
When NASA was preparing for the Apollo project, they did some
astronaut training on a Navajo Indian reservation. One day, a Navajo
elder and his son were herding sheep and came across the space crew.
The old man, who only spoke Navajo, asked a question, which the son
translated: "What are the guys in the big suits doing?" A member of
the crew said they were practicing for their trip to the moon. The old
man got really excited and asked if he could send a message to the
moon with the astronauts. Recognizing a promotional opportunity for
the spin-doctors, the NASA folks found a tape recorder. After the old
man recorded his message, they asked the son to translate. He refused.
So the NASA reps brought the tape to the reservation, where the rest
of the tribe listened and laughed, but refused to translate the
elder's message to the moon. Finally, NASA called a official
government translator. He reported that the moon message said: "Watch
out for these guys; they've come to steal your land."
Told ya I was easily amused didn't I? :P
Ok, for those who haven't seen Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2, you might not want to read this next cut. That is, if you plan on seeing it. I wouldn't want to give anything away. However if you have seen it and wish to read my review of the movie, then by all means, proceed. If you still read it even though you haven't seen the movie, you can't say I didn't warn you...and now onward.
My main thaught on the movie: I was not impressed. I was disappointed with how the final battle went first off. I thaught it would have been a bit more interesting than what it was.
Second, the death of Lord Voldemort, that was not great either. The book made his death way more interesting than the movie did. When old Voldy dies, he doesn't fall like he does in the book, he just sort of disappears, no not disapparates, but he fades away. It's almost like there could have been room for another sequel, it appears that the dark lord survived and he's just out there waiting to strike again. Like he is weak and will someday regain his strength. At least, that's how I see it. But I'm getting ahead of myself, that should have been said at the end of my review but onward.
I was happy that they did keep some things the same however, like Snape flying out the window, there is now a snape shaped hole in one of the windows in the Great Hall. It's awesome. Snape flew without a broom, Vampy and I say that's friggin cool.
The movie had it's sad moments too. Severus Snape's death was sad, at least it was for me. Yes, I cried, blah. During the watching of Sev's memories as well made me cry too. It was weird seeing Snape cry, you don't see him as this person who has much emotion but he does. He loved Lily and never stopped loving her. Dumbledore was talking to Snape in the memories and when the potions master learns that Harry is a horcrux, it appears that he becomes upset and Dumbldore asks Snape basically if he has grown to care for Harry at which point Severus casts his patronus and as we saw, it was a doe, a reminder of Lily. Dumbledore was surprised, or so it seemed that Severus still loved Lily after all of these years, Snape tells him, "Always." So yes, it does appear that Severus Snape, ex-death eater, spy for the light side, and all around tall dark and mysterious and sex God, ok never mind that part, that's all my idea...*ahem* sorry, I digress. Severus, yes Good guy Sev did come to care for Harry Potter. And finally the part where Harry talks to his parents, that made me cry as well. Yes like I said, sad moments in the movie in my oppinion.
I loved it when Molly Weasley was battling with Bellatrix and she called her a bitch. That was awesome! I wasnt' sure they were going to leave that in there but I'm glad they did. I loved hearing Molly say, "Not my daughter, you bitch!" That made my night. LOL!
I suppose most of my disappointment was with the final battle and Moldy Voldy's death. But I won't go over that again. I did that already. :P
So, not much of a review I suppose, but there you have it. I really did like the movie overall but if I could change things in it, I would.
I have been meaning to write that for a while now but I just never got to where I could do it. There were things that kept me from writing and yeah...
Alright, so now that you all know i'm alive, I shall end this and go find breakfast. I'll be back again soon with another entry.
